I am hurt on the inside...and I haven't felt this way in a long time...
The GnR album "Chinese Democracy" is being released on 11-23...and it is so bad it make me want to shoot myself. I honestly couldn't find one song on this album I liked. If you want to be brave and give it a listen is up on myspace http://www.myspace.com/gunsnroses
While I've been out of town for work I decided to actually do something, so yesterday I visited New York City for the first time. During my quick visit I have determined 3 things about the city:
1. Cab drivers are just as bad as they are on TV. 2. There is no spare space. 3. If you get lost (like I did) you could end up on a street filled with nothing but asian people.
Keith Urban and Gary Allen rocked the arena (and my ear drum) last night. The show was over 3 hours long with only a 20 min set change in between acts. I was very impressed...and I had awesome seats.
I have returned from my 6-day escape to California...and I must say I understand why people move there. The weather is absolutely perfect (somewhere around 73 to 80ish all week)...and the sad thing is the locals were complaining that it was to hot. The beach front was very cool and CLEAN!...unlike ours here in Jacksonville. There was just so much to see and do that I didn't get to do everything I wanted to, and if you want to throw Comic-con in there with the other sites I was not hurting for anything to do.
The place was crowded because of the Con (had over 175,000 attendees plus countless staff and guests). It took nearly two days to navigate through the entire exhibition hall and just to give you an idea, Megacon rents one hall at the convention center...Comic-con rented the ENTIRE convention center, so the dealers room was the whole 1st floor...INSANE!! Traffic was also impossible to get through so we took the train to just about everywhere in the city we went (I thought it was cool since we didn't have one here :P)
I'm not going to post to many pictures because the files are so large, plus between mine and Pete's cameras there are about 2,000 pics to go through...so if you want to see the rest of the just ask.
...been a really long time since I had to do more than 80 hours at work in a 5-day work week...and I think I'll hit 90 before the end of the day...this sucks.
